This series investigates the intimacy and vulnerability in one’s imaginary world under contemporary economic and societal structures. By introducing the visual language of public and urban facilities and reducing their scale to the setting of private space, the works reveal the tension between this language and the function of intimate domestic objects.
 
A telephone booth inhabits an old wardrobe, a telephone receiver connects to an iPad; candle-shaped lights hang from city lampposts, a transparent national flag grows out of a homey flowerpot. The work approaches contradictory definitions of intimacy and vulnerability. Seemingly rough and raw materials are assembled into a fragile structure, heightening the uncomfortable experience of engaging with the desire for intimacy.
